Homeplus unionized workers launch partial strike
Unionized workers go on a partial strike inside an outlet of the supermarket chain Homeplus, British retail giant Tesco's South Korean unit, in Seoul on Sept. 8, 2015, one day after a consortium led by MBK Partners, a Seoul-based private equity fund, signed a 7.2 trillion won (US$5.98 billion) deal to buy Homeplus. The labor union, which is opposed to the deal, said it will allow Tesco to pocket a huge amount of profits and exit the country. (Yonhap)
