Muscle damage occurring after unaccustomed activities or high-intensity of exercise
is a common physiological occurrence in daily life. The symptoms of exercise-induced
muscle damage (EIMD) for example delayed onset muscle soreness (DOMS) usually decline
within a week (1,2). However, when the symptoms of muscle damage happen in athletes,
this may possibly interrupt the rehabilitation/training program, along with sports
performance, because of neuromuscular deficits (3).
