Cultures of TAP and TAP+β were further examined under the nitrogen and sulfur deprivation effect indicated by TAP-N-S (○) and TAP+β-N-S (Δ). Culture TAP+β-N-S (Δ) showed higher capacity than that in TAP-N-S (○) under the low ligh as found in the pattern of nutrient-rich medium from the previous experiment. When light intensity was higher than 6 μE/m2s, the increase capacity was only found in TAP-N-S (○).
