3.3.3 Preparation of immobilized bacterial cells
3.5.1.1 Immobilization by adsorption on biochar
The method of cell immobilization on the biochar. Sterilized by autoclaving for 15 min. 121 °C A 1 mL of bacterial cell suspension at OD600 of ~2.0 was inoculated in this medium and incubated at 150 rpm, 28C in rotary shaker for 3 days. The culture was filtrated through Whatman paper No.4 and Repeated washing with sterile normal saline to remove the unattached cells. The immobilized cells on biochar were air-dried in biologicalsafety cabinet for 4 h. The immobilized biochar were kept in sterile plastic tubes at 4C.
