2.6.1. Biomass concentration
50 mL of culture was harvested and centrifuged at 7,650 g for 5 min.
The resultant cell pellet was then washed with saline solution and re-centrifuged.
After decanting the supernatant, the cell pellet was dried at 90 ◦C until all moisture was removed and the weight remains constant.
Biomass concentration was determined as the average of three trials.
