A resistoflavin methyl
ether (4) was also isolated from the same species and it showed MIC of
3.1 μg/mL against B. subtilis while activity against E. coli, Streptococcus
aureus and Candida albicans using the agar diffusion method was found
at 10 μg/mL. Both resistomycin and resistoflavin methyl ether showed
antioxidative properties using the DPPH method (Takao et al., 1994).
