2.1. Technical committee
A technical committee was set up, chaired by Professor Lynn
Cobiac (professor of human nutrition and dietetics), and included
a representative from Seafood Services Australia (Ted Loveday);
and the authors (DP seafood safety and marketing expertise; HG,
food composition, public health nutrition; JC, food science, food
composition, food regulations; AK, statistician; CM, seafood industry
and safety expertise) provided advice to the project, particularly
in relation to sample provision and handling.
2.2. Selection of species for study
The inclusion of species (Table 1) was effected by CRC industry
members opting-in to the project with a commitment to provide
and freight samples at their own cost for the project.
