These results are generally acknowledged in previous studies. Due to the expectation that much of the plant will be recycled, the disposal phase will recover about half of the amount of CO2 emitted from the production phase. Although there may be some negative impact involved in the recycling process (such as the necessary transportation of materials), the disposal phase ultimately presents net positive effects, which is one advantage of wind energy in comparison to nuclear, a point that should not be underestimated. Without disposal, the environmental impact of wind power plants will increase by approximately 87.6%.
