Two forms of questionnaire were used, one for rubber plantation
owners and the other for full-time hired labors. The information asked in the
questionnaire for owners included residential location, number of rubber plots owned,
planting area in each plot, time of rubber planting for each plot, number of tapping
years for each plot, number of family members living together, activities in rubber
production conducted by each member, type of labor (family labor, hired labor or
both) used in each rubber plot, number of labor used in each plantation, return-home
family members and their work place, and ways in which they obtained their tapping
skill. The questionnaire for hired labors covered most of the questions asked to the
owners, except those relating to the ownership of rubber plantation.
