Keppel Land will continue to build on its strengths and successes to further grow its core businesses of property development for sale and property fund management. The Company will establish a balanced portfolio across different segments, developing distinctive residential projects, investment-grade offices, integrated townships and mixed-use developments that will create vibrant, liveable and sustainable urban communities.
With a significant Asian footprint and strong local market knowledge, Keppel Land will scale up in high-growth cities where it has an established presence. The Group will focus and deepen its roots in its core markets of Singapore and China, while strengthening its foothold in the growth markets of Vietnam and Indonesia.
For other markets where the Group has an existing presence, Keppel Land will scope and nurture those which have the potential to become growth markets in the longer term. Where prospects for growth in a particular market are not as promising, the Group will keep a watching brief with a view to minimise its operations or exit the market.
Keppel Land is also committed to grow its property fund management business through its two vehicles, Keppel REIT and Alpha Investment Partners (Alpha). Keppel REIT, which has a sterling portfolio of Grade A office properties in Singapore and Australia, will selectively pursue opportunities for strategic asset recycling and acquisitions. Alpha will continue to develop its core strength as a value-added manager of private equity funds. Keppel Land will seek to further grow their assets under management to achieve steady recurring fee-based income that will further contribute to the Group's profits.
