LuHan tilted his brush so that the thick side pressed against his canvas, making light deft across the blank page without thinking. The originally dark blue paint came off the brush in varying viscosities, and where the paint ran out, barely visible blue.
Picking up another brush, he just let his hand move, ignoring what his mind told him. Minutes passed as the class gathered around LuHan. Watching the talented pretty boy work was always amazing.
“What is it?” his teacher asked, as he stepped away from the canvas finally to study and analyse his work, hand falling to his side.
LuHan barely glanced up at the teacher before saying, “A person drowning in sadness.”
The teacher stood next to LuHan, taking in all the emotions that the painting displayed. All his fan girls sighed in awe over him as he ran a hand through his hair, and he turned back to smile charmingly at them.
Across the room, SeHun scoffed. That arrogant irritating pretty boy who walked around as though he owned the world. Tossing down his own brush in irritation, he stepped away from his canvas and stripped off the old T-shirt he had worn to prevent further paint stains on his clothes.
“Hey where are you going?” Kai called as SeHun strode angrily to the sink, scrubbing his hands furiously. The water ran black as it mixed with the paint, leaving his hands bright pink from the force of his motions and raw. They burned as he dried them, but he was uncaring.
“I’m leaving,” he told Kai and they both glanced back at LuHan who was now packing up his things. Anger renewed, SeHun tossed his materials into his art case and grabbed his canvas in one hand, leaving without another word. As he paced down the street, he heard a voice calling.
“Hey! SeHun, you bastard! Wait up!” Kai called as he hurried after him, carrying tonnes of stuff with him. SeHun stopped in his tracks, waiting for Kai to catch up.
“What’s taking you…” SeHun’s words trailed off as he saw LuHan come out of the class he had just left. He was laughing at something, dimples evident even at this distance. There were girls all around him and his hands were empty, theirs full.
“,” SeHun cursed under his breath, forgetting Kai and walking off again, turning corridors and going down unnecessary stairs just to get away from that irritating boy.
“What the hell SeHun? What happened to waiting for me?” Kai asked, clutching his things in his hands as they headed outside for SeHun’s car.
“Sorry,” SeHun said shortly.
“You know what I don’t get?” Kai began as they sat, strapping on their seatbelts, “I don’t get why you hate him so much.”
“I…” SeHun paused, pulling out of the parking lot. Why did he hate LuHan so much? It wasn’t like the older had ever done him anything in particular.
