The nature of our work means we often have to have a discussion with clients about the differences between Public Relations and Advertising.
While there many situations where one and or both are appropriate, we sometimes struggle to explain the difference. Cue “The Fall of Advertising and the Rise of PR” by Al Ries and Laura Ries with an interesting and thought-provoking list.
The title may give away a little bias in one direction, but the points are worth contemplating none-the-less.
