This article describes learning English language with film. The research is using film as a medium of instruction for learning. In this study we plan to carry out a survey of twenty first-year students studying at the School of Humanities and Tourism Management of Bangkok University. In order to achieve this target, the participants will be divided into two groups: Group A (movie clip with Subtitles); Group B (movie clip without subtitles). Questionnaires will be distributed to 300 Thai students at Bangkok University and one episode English movie last about 1 hour. The results show that viewing movie as a tool for learning English language has many benefits and develop students in term of listening skill, speaking skill, pronunciation and vocabulary. In addition the results show that the group of movie clip with subtitles can help the students to develop English skill. Moreover, this study can help students understand that learning English by watching movie is the way to motivate the students to pay more attention in English class.
