the different survival modes are listed in Table 3, and the structural
mass properties are listed in Table 4. All of the values in this paper are
presented at full scale unless otherwise specified. The numerical simulationswere
carried out atmodel scale, but the results are up-scaled to the
prototype scale. The model test results were also up-scaled and
compared with the numerical results. In the SUB mode, the whole
model was submerged by 26 m as compared to the MWL mode. In
this case, the distance from the bottom of the torus to the still water
line (SWL) would be 30 m in the SUB mode, compared to 4 m of the
torus draft in the MWL mode. This draft change can be modified in the
prototype by changing the ballast
