Gasoline Direct Injection (GDI) engines have been considered to have great potential to satisfy the severe legislation in the future and other demanding requirements as gasoline direct injection engines exhibit high performance and excellent fuel economy. The primary driver toward gasoline direct injection is the reduction of greenhouse gases [1]. It was reported that the fuel consumption benefits of GDI engine, compared with port-fuel injection (PFI), is about 5–10%, which means that it emits less CO2 and reaches a higher specific output [2,3], especially in the lower engine speed range [4].
