In case no. 1, If the customers made their booking from yesterday and stay today, but they can not stay with us for today because someone in they family was sick and they request to cancel their booking for today, so they can do it or not ? ( in this case, the hotel will have to pay your commissions or not if the customers have the " Emergency " and cancel they booking for today ).
In case no 2., If customers have solved their booking one occasion, they can fix it again or not.
