For measuring weight loss, PCL film was
removed from the culture and washed thoroughly with distilled
water to remove any media components or bacterial cells. The film
was completely vacuum-dried at room temperature, and then its
weight was compared with that of abiotic control.
The capability of the strain MRL-TL to degrade PCL was analyzed
by tracking changes in surface morphology and modifications in
chemical bonds of PCL film through scanning electron microscopy
(SEM) and Fourier transform infra-red (FT-IR) spectroscopy,
respectively.
