We understand that for various reasons, receipts and bank statements aren't kept for a long period of time or even purchased with cash. However, you can send us a Statutory Declaration in lieu of the receipts stating the items, prices and dates of purchases.
If you are currently located outside of Australia or in a state where Statutory Declaration is not available, please secure an equivalent notarised document. This affidavit must be legally made under oath, witnessed and signed by a state prescribed personnel.
We hope you understand that we have to administer our baggage policy in a consistent manner, so that it will not be subject to abuse and discrimination, such as preferential treatment given to one case over another, in order to be fair to all passengers making similar claims.
Regrettably, we can’t proceed further with your claim without these documents.
