Fuzzy logic based speed control mechanism is given in
[10]. FLC has some advantages and popular in PM
synchronous motor drives but it increases computational
burden of the drive system. A microcontroller based control
and simulation of an advanced IPMSM drive is proposed in
[11] for electric vehicle propulsion. The drive system is
basically designed with an outer torque control loop for
electric vehicle applications, but speed and position control
loops can be added for other industrial applications.
