The TTC proposes that the personal capacities of creativity and spirituality form a construct which, when applied as a positive and proactive coping strategy, provides individuals with the combined and amplified mental health benefits of both concepts, thereby leading to positive transformation and more effective long-term coping. Theoretical propositions regarding the association between creativity and spirituality are introduced, and empirical evidence for the mental health benefits of the individual concepts of spirituality and creativity is presented in support of the TTC.
