So far, the nature and position of the species' activities during the breeding season have been compared. The time of these activities would also be a potential source of diversity. There could either be differences in the time of day in which
feeding took place, or there could be differences in the dates during which eggs were [aid and the young fed. The first type of difference (time of day) seems inherently improbable since, at [east while feeding the fledged young, the parents are
kept busy throughout the daylight hours gathering food. Record was taken of the time at which the various warbler species began singing in the morning of 19 June 1956.
