A playground for waterfall lovers, Chiang Mai is hardly short on waterfalls to discover. When we read about one called the ‘Sticky Waterfall’, we were definitely curious. What does that even mean, ‘sticky waterfall’? Well, we went to see it and we’re here to tell you. Covered in a limestone deposit, the rocks under the water are ‘sticky’ rather than slippery, meaning you can climb all over them without slipping. You can dance in the water, walk up against the current…It’s actually pretty cool. We couldn’t believe that there were only a couple other people at the waterfall the entire time we were there. So for any of you who are looking for some nature-filled, off the beaten path, outdoorsy adventures around Chiang Mai, add the Sticky Waterfall (actual name: Bua Tong Waterfall) to your list.
