The results presented herein
have shown that the increases in electrolyte leakage and
MDA content during cold storage, which indicate the
membrane deterioration in pineapple fruits under low
temperature stress, were effectively inhibited by wax
treatment.reported that the development
of CI in loquat fruits was accompanied by loss of
membrane integrity, increases in electrolyte leakage and
MDA content. Also, enhanced tolerance to CI by
treatment with 1-methylcyclopropene or with hot water
was associated with the inhibition of membrane deterioration.
