Conclusions
Our study demonstrated carcass traits and physio- logical properties of growth-related differences be- tween different metabolic types of cattle. CH cattle as the accretion type with higher muscle growth potential, grow faster with nutrient intake mainly transformed into protein, which is accreted in enlarg- ing muscle fibers. In contrast, the H or secretion type of cattle showed higher insulin and glucagon concen- trations as powerful influencing factors on the somatotropic axis. The higher concentrations are seen as a part of the promoted glucose and fatty acid metabo- lism in secretion type of cattle in contrast to the promoted protein metabolism in accretion type of cattle. The transformed nutrients were stored in growing H bulls mainly as fat, which has a promoting effect on the leptin plasma concentration.
