of children from measles, diarrhea and other disease
because of impaired immunity

a result, dietary sources and adequacy of pro-vitamin A
continues to be the major concern.
The daily pro-vitamin
A intake recommended by the FAO is 250 to 400 retinol
equivalents (RE) for children, 575 to 725 RE for
adolescent and 750 RE for adults.
