Prachuap Khiri Khan: The Office of His Majesty's Principal Private Secretary performed a sacred Brahmin rite marking a prelude to cutting 12 sandalwood trees in Prachuap Khiri Khan to be used for the royal funeral of His Majesty the late King.
Vuth Sumitra, deputy secretary-general of the office, chaired the ceremony intended to seek divine permission to fell the trees and move them out of Kui Buri National Park.
He performed the rite at 14.09pm by anointing the trees one by one and pouring holy water on them
