Total mass of wastes generated by the site (total of 7.1.1 and 7.1.2), in the chosen unit. This concerns only wastes related to normal running site activity. It excludes exceptional wastes related to build up, demolishing.
7.1.1 Total mass of hazardous wastes, in the chosen unit.
Any wastes which are not domestic wastes have to be considered as hazardous wastes.
7.1.2 Total mass of non-hazardous wastes (including metallic wastes from Q 7.1.3), in the chosen unit.
Are considered as non-hazardous wastes any wastes authorized, by local regulations, to be treated with other domestic wastes. Non-hazardous metallic wastes, wood pallets, sold to specialized companies have to be included, like it was in previous years.
7.1.3 Total weight of non-hazardous metallic wastes sold and generated by the site industrial production process, in the chosen unit.
7.2 Total mass of wastes handled for treatment or landfilling, in the chosen unit. (Automatic calculation: 7.2=7.3.1+7.3.2+7.3.3+7.3.4).
The total mass of handled wastes cannot be greater than the total mass of generated wastes. It is admitted that it can be slightly lower but not above 5%.
7.3 Total mass of recycled or valorised wastes, in the chosen unit. (Automatic calculation).
Recycled wastes : wastes reused in an industrial process; external to the site, in total or partial replacement of a virgin raw material.
Valorised wastes : wastes burned with associated energy collection.
7.3.1 Mass of recycled wastes, in the chosen unit. Do not include here the wastes recycled internally.
7.3.2 Mass of thermally valorized (via incineration) wastes.
7.3.3 Mass of wastes incinerated without thermal valorisation, (the aim of the incineration being the destruction of the waste and the produced being energy lost).
7.3.4 Mass of landfilled wastes, that is to say, disposed or buried without treatment in a site specially built for this purpose.
7.4 Quantity of internally recycled wastes. Note that these materials are not considered as wastes anymore. Examples: processed plastics reused in the process, packaging materials reused, metal scraps reused, etc.)
