3.2.2. K36 reduced UVB-induced intracellular ROS in human skin
fibroblasts
The DCFDA method involves measuring the intracellular
generation of hydrogen peroxide and is an indirect procedure
for estimating ROS. K36 pretreatment inhibited the intracellular
ROS production in UVB-irradiated fibroblasts in a dosedependent
manner and significantly inhibited that at 25 lM
(Fig. 2b). These results indicated that treatment with K36 significantly
suppressed ROS generation induced by UVB in human
skin fibroblasts.
