hydroxide solution (COH− = 1 N). The volumic interfacialarea a was deduced from Eq. (3) considering the reaction between CO2 and NaOH as rapid (Ha > 5, Eq. (1)), irreversible (v = kOH−CCO2COH− with kOH− = 6.4m3 mol−1 s−1) and of pseudo-first order (COH− _ CCO2 and COH− ≈ constant):
