Most rice samples were from a broad control campaign on the Swiss market focused on Asian products. Extraction and on-line HPLC–GC corresponded to the methods described in [1]. Briefly, rice was extracted with hexane. MOSH and MOAH were isolated by normal phase HPLC on silica gel with a gradient of hexane/dichloromethane and either transferred on-line to GC-FID or collected from the HPLC–GC interface into autosampler vials for GC × GC analysis.
