triazine ester with an aryl boronic acid in the presence of a
palladium catalyst resulted in a cross-coupling reaction to give
aryl ketones in high yields. This is the first example of a facile
synthesis of a diverse range of aryl ketones from aromatic acids
and aryl boronic acid in a one-pot procedure (Scheme 1, c).
Benzoic acid 1a and phenylboronic acid 2a were chosen as
general substrates for the one-pot synthesis of benzophenone
