In accordance with the provisions of the agreement of 3rd April 2001 on the creation of the International Organisation of Vine and Wine (OIV), OIV member countries approved the following provisions regarding the definition of vitivinicultural products and oenological practices and treatments, accepted or otherwise.
This is a technical and legal reference document intended to standardise products from the vitivinicultural sector and which should be used as a basis for establishing national or supranational regulations and be included in international trade.
