During Ubon Ratchathani Candle Festival, which will be held on 15-31 July this year, there will be a traditional parades and competition on giant Vassa candle made by groups of local artists and sculptors. Ubon Ratchathani Candle Festival 2015These enormous giant can be up to 20 metres long and lavishly handcrafted into Thai pattern and sculptures depicting scenes from Ramayana and traditional stories. There are also smaller (but still big) candles showcase around the area of Tung Sri Muang in the heart of the city, as well as international wax sculpture competition, making this one of the country's biggest art show made entirely from wax.
