I think it is immature to seek attention with this controversy-mongering. I too have been reading Mr Bradshaw's reviews and tend to agree with him in most cases and think he is certainly very qualified to give the opinions he does. But when he blatantly takes down a film by criticising fairly innocuous details (the White Queen's castle seeming like the Disney logo for example) then he is just being (and I hate saying this word which is all-too-frequently used on this part of the website) elitist and snobbish.
Even Xan Brooks in his reel review admitted that he wanted to dub this film as shallow and obviously Mr Bradshaw went in with the same state of mind. I agree that we don't need any more Alice adaptations but that is not the issue here. His job is to review the films, not to review if it's necessary for them to be made.
