Remark. Among several types of the polynomial function
discussed in [16] , we consider the B-splines for the profile
parametrization because of their ease of computing their
derivatives. Moreover, their degree depends only up to which
derivative is needed to ensure continuity, this being in contrast
with the polynomial basis functions.
