This argument regarding dependency of tourism development
in developing countries suggests that type and
scale of tourism development in the developing world is
at the mercy of the international tour operators to a large
extent. In this regard, it may not be wrong to claim that
developing countries are decision-takers, rather than decision-
makers regarding the tourism development that
has taken place in their territories. There is evidence that
