Will it be ready by the deadline?
Boris : Hello, customer service, Boris speaking.
Peggy : Hi, Boris. This is Peggy, from Sales in the Bangkok office. I have a question
about an order we placed.
Boris : What seems to be the problem?
Peggy : It’s the approval for our training course. The course should begin next week
but the training company hasn’t received the signed contract from us.
Boris : Ok. Could you give me the order number? I’ll look into it.
Peggy : It’s 2/1145.
Boris : Can you tell me when you sent it to us?
Peggy : At least a month ago. Training Consultants needs the contract before the
course can begin. That’s by Friday at the latest.
Boris : Let me get this straight. What you’re saying is that we still have the contract
and you need it back, signed by us?
Peggy : Well, yes.
Boris : Ok. These things do take time. Oh look, I do have the contract here. What I’ll
do is check the figures and see if Angela can sign it by tomorrow. If you give
me the fax number of Training Consultants, I’ll fax it straight to them and post you a copy.
Peggy : Will it be ready in time for the deadline?
Boris : I’ll do my best.
