The Giant Waterfall of Gaoshan Valley is perhaps the most amazing natural site in the area. Plummeting 360 meters (1182 feet) down from the hillside of Baoque Mountain, the white water creates a thunderous sound that rocks the air and a cool shroud-like mist. The scene seems as if it was taken directly out of a poem written by Li Bai (701-762: considered to be one of China’s two most famous poets along with Du Fu). On a sunny day, a rainbow forms in the waterfall’s mist, creating an even more inspiring site.
Cable CarThe Xiling Snow Mountain ski slopes are presently China’s biggest, with the best facilities, the largest slopes, and the most snow. While China isn’t often considered a skiing destination, lovers of the sport will enjoy a whole new spot with great prices.
