Some other perceived disadvantages of natural gas is that it is more costly to store and is not as energy appressed as oil, so there would be a need to produce more of it to realize the same power output from it. (As we all know a liquid takes up less space than a gas). Why does this present a problem? In order to stockpile natural gas you would have to do one of two things, either use high pressure, which will require specialty pumps and an airtight system and use more energy to move this type of material, or cool it to the point that it is a liquid and then pump it, and this is a very expensive process.
