King Ramathibodi I was the king for 19 years.
After his death, Ayudhaya became a floor of power conflict over succession between two major towns: Lavo – Ayodhaya and Suwanabhuma.
Prince Ramesuan became the 2nd king in B.E. 1913 (his first reign) and later peacefully abdicated (stepped down from the throne) in favor of his father’s brother in law – King Borommaracha (Suwanabhuma Dynasty).
His second reign started in B.E. 1931 till 1938 (7 years).

During this period, Ayudhaya often expanded the power to attack Khmer Kingdom.
In B.E. 1974, Somdet Phra Borommarachathirat II (Chao Sam Phraya – Son of Somdet Phra Intha Racha I (Phra Chao Nakhon In) successfully defeated Khmer (Khmer moved the capital from Angkor to Phnom Penh.
