Transaction
Permanently stores a newly created or revised PNR.
Passenger
Name Record
(PNR)
An electronic booking record of air and non-air segments. A
PNR also contains pertinent passenger travel information. The
four mandatory parts of a PNR are: Phone, Itinerary, Name, and
Ticketing.
Passenger
Type Code
(PTC)
A code representing the type of passenger traveling. ADT (adult)
is the default if a PTC is not included when entering the name
field.
Record
Locator
A unique 6-character alpha/numeric code assigned by Worldspan
to each PNR at end transaction.
Subscriber
Identification
(SID)
A unique 3-character code assigned to an agency by Worldspan.
Each branch of an agency has its own unique SID.
World Files Automated data files used to eliminate duplicate work by storing
agency, company, and passenger information. The information
can then be copied directly into a PNR.
