In countries such as Lebanon ,Where most of the Organization are for-profit or non-profit with limited community representation ,and where the legal system is under-developed with respect to malpractice ,pressures for sound governance might be less accentuated. Adoption of clinical governance is indeed often linked to pressures by the public and external stakeholder. In general ,healthcare governance has received very little empirical attention in the literature ,particularly in the context of developing countries. The following section deals with an empirical investigation in the context of a developing country (Lebanon) ,and aim to derive insight to healthcare governance that could have wider relevance and applicability.
