1. Hard. In this model, the HRM is guided by the control, seeking to cut costs and
cost-effective guidance, aiming to achieve the goals. Its function is to manage the
numbers, keeping the work force closely aligned to the requirements in terms of technical
and behavioral skills.
2. Soft. Aligns itself to the social aspects of the organization concerned with issues of
motivation, communication, participation in management and integration with the
strategic objectives, and accordingly, assumes that human resources contribute to the
development of the organization.
