Thank you for your message. The first batch of 2.5 Mio. pcs. (BBN liners) are in transit now for drop of at airport. The remaining 2.5 Mio. pcs. (BBN liners) will be following a.s.a.p. for drop of at sea port. For the shipment Tractor liners we are planning with drop of at the airport.
I think we should now always use the term FCA to avoid any misunderstandings. FCA however is a rather risky mode of delivery in particular regarding arrangement of paperwork in time (above all for air freight). Before submitting any paperwork to the authorities for air freight shipments we need to issue the invoice and PL as good as we can. Later on however there are amendments necessary as the airline is also weighing the cargo. This involves the AWB and papers from the ministry of commerce. We are dealing with this matter weekly and mostly everything runs well. With a 3rd party however the risk of delays is high and on your side, Schenker is also not in the proper area for logistic issues and it causes our logistic team in Bangkok problems to access. The location “Schenker Office” is also not suitable as we cannot unload at this location and are asked to re-direct at further costs. Please assign an exact location were the forwarder can take over the goods. I would like to stress the point that FCA means that you take over the responsibility the moment we submit the goods to your forwarder and we have to insist to get proper paperwork when the goods are submitted. In case we get charged from Schenker for their service we shall have to forward these charges to you.
Although being over 650 km away from the ports we are offering you to send the goods without any further costs to the sea port / airport. You might re-consider if a FOB charge of EUR 200 / shipment is still too much. The EUR 200 reflects the actual costs from the forwarder + charges which apply in logistics for providing the documents in time, on duty staff for ensuring the max. speed + extra services necessary which quite often happens.
In order to have proper transport from our factory and the port we always ship on pallets and submit the cargo this way to the forwarder in order to make sure the product is in good shape. Naturally the forwarder is free to load the boxes without pallet on your requirement.
"Free Carrier" means that the seller delivers the goods to the carrier or another person nominated by the buyer at the seller's premises or another named place. The parties are well advised to specify as clearly as possible the point within the named place of delivery, as the risk passes to the buyer at that point.”
