(10) During construction of the insitu slab, no construction load or vibrations shall be imparted to adjacent spans, once the concrete initial set has started and until the concrete has obtained a strength of 18 N/mm2 during construction of the link slabs. The adjacent span shall be held to prevent any differential longitudinal movement between then until the concrete has obtained a strength of 18 N/mm2
(11) Precautions must be taken to ensure that sufficient horizontal fixity of any one span is achieved, where all bearings in any one span allow free movement. Temporary fixity for that span must be provided until casting of the connection link slab.
(12) Purpose of epoxy is introduced to completely fill any minor surface imperfections and irregularities between the match cast surfaces; and, to provide a water tight seal; and, to act as a lubricant when erecting the segment, to ensure that there is a tight fit between the surfaces so that stress is transmitted directly across the joint.
(13) Track bed slab shall not be cast until link slab or insitu transverse slabs have been cast for at least 1 month and all of the prestress in the span have been applied at least 2 months, unless otherwise approved by the engineer.
(14) Rail for track work shall be installed at ambient temperature 32°±5°celsius and shall not be installed until all of the longitudinal prestressing in the span has been applied at least 6 months, unless otherwise approved by the engineer.
(15) Deck erection has been assumed for analysis, design, and detailing by assuming that the total weight of launching truss including all accessories at any stages (not including segments dead weight) shall not be more than 3800 kN.
