1. Introduction
In the recent years, the using use of antibiotics such as oxytetracycline
has been prohibited by several countries due to serious
environmental hazards and also some carcinogenic effects in many
teleosts (Lunden et al., 1998; Ringo and Gatesoupe, 1998; Gatesoupe,
1999). Besides, the use of antibiotics has become limited because
certain pathogens have developed resistance to the drugs. Therefore,
increasing on knowledge is focused on control or elimination of the
use of antibiotic in culture conditions. This outcome is caused by the
use of probiotics as a method for keeping the environment, preventing
fish disease and in improving the control of pathogens in larval rearing
tanks. Nowadays, probiotics in aquaculture has been widely used to
the control of disease and also to the increase of feed efficiency and
husbandry parameters.
