2.3 CRITERIA FOR PERFORMANCE EVALUATION OF HIGH VOLTAGE EQUIPMENT
The criteria to evaluate the performance of high voltage equipment as shown in Figure 2 consist of: 1. Age implies the degradation over the chronological time. 2. Stress considering in-service data such as load current and short circuit current. 3. Symptom means any signs of degradation investigated by visual inspection or diagnostic devices. 4. Obsolescence such as unavailability of spare parts, technology obsolescence, long downtime to repair, after sale service satisfactory etc. 5. Failed type considered failure rates of each model or manufacturer. 6. Environmental and safety concern such as noise, damage to nearby property and safety to operating personal.
