Cellulase production from fungal strains in solid state fermentation
Solid state fermentation was carried out in 250 ml Erlenmeyer flasks containing mineral salt media (0.05% KH2PO4, 0.05% CaNO3, and 0.05% MgSO4) supplemented with 5 g of wheat bran/Bagasse pith. The moisture content was adjusted to 1:3 solid to liquid ratio. Each flask was covered with hydrophobic cotton and autoclaved at 121°C for 20 min.
