It provides of where we should be heading Anyone wishing to understand the need for and direction of change in mathematics education that was envisioned as we entered the 1990s should begin with these two books
And the revolution continues As the decade nears its end. it must be admitted that the vision of the Curriculum Standards has not been realized The Curriculum Standards generated interest and provided philosophy and direction Yet actual change in long-held beliefs about school mathematics has been slow.
