The first phase of growth was similar, from a kinetic viewpoint, for
both pig varieties which were faster than for the controls. The precocity
(represented by μm1-parameter) was similar for the three growths
studied. Regarding the inflexion point (τ1) (Vázquez et al., 2012), the
estimated value for the control was shorter than for the other pig varieties.
In the second phase, growth rates of C × L were higher than
C × D and the control. However, the comparison of final growths
(Gmf) among genotypes was not significant (P N 0.05).
